As the functions of smart devices continue to increase, their power consumption begins to get faster and faster. People are getting used to carrying portable chargers or power adapters with them. For many people, the concept of the power adapter only stays at the stage of the charger, but in fact the power adapter is a kind of transformer, which is widely used in the charger. People who are unfamiliar with power adapters often need to face which power adapter to use for charging.

The parameters of the power adapter are various, so the adapter cannot be used for charging at will. Before selecting a power adapter, first determine three adaptation conditions.

First, the interface of the adapter matches the device;

Second, the output voltage must be the same as the rated input voltage of the load (mobile device), or within the voltage range that the load (mobile device) can withstand, otherwise, the load (mobile device) may be burned;

Third, the output current of the power adapter should be equal to or greater than the current of the load (mobile device) to provide enough power; let's analyze the above three adaptation conditions.

First, the mismatched interface must not be inserted without professional knowledge, otherwise it will be dangerous.

Second, as to why the same voltage is required, in principle, the voltage is insufficient to drive the load, and the battery cannot be charged normally. The popular point is that the supply exceeds the demand.

Third, as to why such a current configuration is needed, it involves the principle of the circuit. We all know that the power supply has internal resistance, and the greater the internal resistance, the greater the loss. Therefore, when the manufacturer produces this adapter, it will determine the no-load output voltage within a certain range according to the size of the internal resistance, and the current threshold corresponding to the voltage threshold is the current nominal value we see. The larger the adapter, the better the load capacity. Therefore, choosing an adapter with a slightly higher current will not only not damage the battery, but will make charging faster.
